Remodeling Terms, or Say What? | Troutdale    When you start the process of remodeling your home, you may get a little lost in the jargon used by your contractor and other building professionals as they talk about your project and what's being done.  Mud: Plaster, stucco and other liquidly material used to coat a surface.  Slump: Refers to the consistency of wet concrete. EIFS: Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems,  usually a stucco-like finish applied to the exterior of a house.  Fiber Cement: Usually refers to siding, like James Hardie siding products .
